I am a clinical social worker, therapist, who has provided therapy since 1995. I received my graduate degree from the University of Denver.  I have been clinically licensed as a therapist in the state of Kansas since 2000.  I am a member of NASW, ADAA (Anxiety Disorders Association of America), IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals), and NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association of America). "I love what I do and I find it very gratifying. I believe that clients are the experts in their life. Clients are the culmination of mind/body and spirit and all areas can be impacted due to life changes, loss, stress, crisis, or a desire for personal growth and meaning.  I work from a holistic approach addressing religious and or spiritual issues when appropriate.  I strive to help clients gain a better understanding of who they are and how to increase their effectiveness with others.  My goal as a therapist, is to assist clients to understand patterns, to increase their life skills and personal strengths in hopes that positive growth will create balance and healthy relationships."

In working with clients I implement aspects of various therapeutic orientations including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, MST or Multisystemic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems.  I also believe strongly in the value of humor.

I offer both assessment and treatment in the context of individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy in the Kansas City area.  I also offer consultation and client centered advocacy.

I can assist clients in a variety of goals including, but not limited to:
